Privacy Policy

Aptitude Engine ("we", "us", "our") is an online mock test and exam preparation platform. Our registered contact email is hello@aptitudeengine.study.

When you create an account or use the platform we collect:

• Account data — name, email address, and (if using social login) your profile picture URL from the OAuth provider.
• Exam preferences — target exam, planned exam date range, self-assessed math level, and target score.
• Test performance data — answers submitted, time spent per question, confidence tags, answer changes, and revisit counts.
• Behavioural signals — tab focus/blur events and window activity during a test session, used solely to compute session analytics.
• Usage data — pages visited, device type, browser, and approximate location (country level) via Vercel Analytics.

We do not collect payment card details directly — any future billing is handled by a third-party payment processor.

• To create and manage your account.
• To generate personalised practice tests and analytics dashboards.
• To improve question quality and platform features.
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset). We do not send marketing emails without your explicit consent.

We share data with the following processors only to the extent necessary to operate the platform:

• Supabase — authentication and database hosting (EU / US data centres).
• Vercel — web hosting and edge delivery.
• Google / Facebook / Apple — only if you choose to sign in via those providers; we receive only your name and email.

We do not sell your data to third parties.

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion at any time by emailing us. Session analytics are retained for up to 24 months to power your progress history.

Depending on your jurisdiction you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@aptitudeengine.study and we will respond within 30 days.

We use a single session cookie issued by Supabase Auth to keep you logged in. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Aptitude Engine is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has created an account, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
